Copperfield Technology are a team of computer experts who live in Lydd and New Romney andhave now joined forces to provide pressional computer help and expertise to people and businesses across Romney Marsh.
"We all live locally but worked for leading IT companies in London and realised there was a lack of equivalent professional computer expertise locally" said a company spokesperson, continuing: "There are a few well intentioned, self-taught, computer people on the Marshes but very few IT experts. We've formed Copperfield Technology to rectify that and give the people of Lydd, New Romney and other Marsh towns access to local, professional, computer help".
The technical qualifications of the team behind the company leaves no doubt as to their expertise. They’ve been trained in the latest technologies by Apple, Dell, Cisco and Sun; are certified to the highest levels by Microsoft and Sun Microsystems, and between them have clocked up over 25 years experience building and troubleshooting large, complex, networks – one of their most recent projects was upgrading 40 servers for an international publisher. The company is also a Microsoft and Cisco Partner while their lead engineer has had several articles published in national computer magazines.
Many people in Lydd, New Romney and Littlestone have already benefited from the newly available expertise. Christine Chapman in Lydd was one of their first customers: “Our internet connection wasn’t working, we’d tried several other local places but no one could fix it and one chap even made it worse.
